Conventional stab vests typically rely on rigid metal plates or multiple layers of aramid for protection, with the competitions having 15 layers of aramid alone just to reach level 1, which inherently adds considerable weight, limited flexibility and little to no breathability. To mitigate the impact on mobility and reduce overall protection, such vests are often designed with a severely limited protective area. Consequently, this results in compromised safety and diminished comfort during wear.
