RESPONSE WEAR STAB MATERIALS VERSUS THE OTHERS!

NOT ALL STAB VEST ARE THE SAME - ITS WHATS ON THE INSIDE THAT COUNTS!

Below are photos of Response Wears stab vest (ours) and the copies. Side by side you would not be able to tell the difference, until you check out the stab panels inside of the outer vest. The difference is significant.

RESPONSE WEAR: LATEST PATENTED MATERIALS

The composition of the stab-resistant material consists of a non-metallic layer made of carbon fiber for stab protection and a base layer of aramid fabric. The carbon layer is adhered to the surface of the aramid fabric using hot melt adhesive film. The outer carbon stab-resistant layer is comprised of three layers. The bottom and middle layers are created by arranging small pieces in a staggered pattern. Its primary function is to cover the gaps in the middle and lower layers and protect against oblique-angle stabs.

COPIES: 15 LAYERS OF ARAMID

While 15 layers of aramid fabric can afford a reasonable level of protection, they may fall short of satisfying the most stringent standards for stab resistance or defending against high-impact assaults. For instance, a study conducted by *MDPI indicated that 15 layers of aramid fabric might not suffice to fulfill the NIJ Level 1 standard for stab resistance, which mandates a penetration depth of less than 7mm. Additionally, the incorporation of carbon fiber or alternative materials alongside aramid may be requisite for achieving elevated levels of protection, which the copied vests do not have.

OTHER FACTORS TO CONSIDER WHEN COMPARING ARAMID LAYERS WITH OUR ARMADILLO-TEX PATENTED MATERIAL

FLEXIBILITY:
COPIES: Not designed to conform to body movements, as the material is layered with a minimum of 15 pieces of aramid material.

RESPONSE WEARThe German-designed and researched armadillo-Tex patented material is designed to be flexible. Using the mammal as an example, the armadillo-styled manufacturing process allows the material to bend and conform to the wearer's body movements.

 WEIGHT:
COPIES: Heavier due to the 15+ layers of aramid material

RESPONSE WEAR: Lighter due to being a single piece of patented panel material.

THICKNESS:
COPIES: Thicker due to multiple layers of aramid material on top of each other.

RESPONSE WEAR: 1 piece panel with patented materials

BREATHABILITY.
COPIES: Due to the multiple layers of aramid material, there is no structure to allow for venting heat, causing overheating when placed close to the wearer's body.

RESPONSE WEAR: Due to the patented design, the bottom and middle layers are created by arranging small pieces in a staggered pattern. Its primary function is to cover the gaps in the middle and lower layers, protect against oblique-angle stabs, and provide a breathable solution due to its flexibility.

All Response Wear stabs purchased after April 2024 will have a Response Wear label on the inside (see image below)

The Response Wear Armadillo-Tex stab panels are designed to flex, allowing for more flexibility and breathability for the wearer.

RESPONSE WEAR ARMADILLO-TEX PATENTED STAB PANELS (see below image)

COPIES WILL HAVE LAYERS OF ARAMID, AT LEAST 15 LEVELS FOR LEVEL 1 ALONE, MAKING IT HEAVIER, NON BREATHABLE & LESS FLEXIBLE. (See below image)
