After trialing the RESPONDER stab vest multiple hospital security departments and 4 of the largest security companies in Australia chose our vest over some of Australia's largest suppliers.

The Responder has a waist adjustment allowance of approximately 4cm each side and 5cm for length (Approx) see photos.

You can also sit down wearing our vest, but try sitting down with the non flexible options offered by other manufacturers! Some of our competitors vest are made for U.K. conditions and our Australian climate has not been taken into consideration. Our material is lightweight, flexible and has a patented design that allows air to enter and heat to escape from the material easier.

*Note: Level 1 & 2 does offer some blunt force trauma protection but its main function is for stab protection. We recommend level 3 if you want maximum Stab & blunt force trauma protection. Our level III single direction flexibility patented material is also specially designed to reduce the effects of blunt force trauma, unlike some manufacturers in the market today that use a non flexible plate design that affords  very little flexibility for bending, or side flexion of the trunk, which becomes very uncomfortable in particular where task may involve twisting, bending or activities requiring side torsion flexibility, as well as affording little to no breath-ability.

Engineered to meet the stringent requirements of a major Australian health institution, the RESPONDER is the newest design of Stab Protection Vest. The vest was selected over competitors due to its inclusion of flexible stab panels, comfort and tough yet lightweight design.

This vest has a flap over the zipper and has a hook and loop panel for affixing your velcro backed badges to. Vest are made to order with a slight +- minus adjustment range on the waist and shoulders. With plenty of molle webbing you wont be left short for attaching your own molle style pouches.

As with our other vests, the vest is characterised by a very high wearing comfort. We achieve this by the low weight of approx. 1.4 kg (level 1) and this with a protected area of over 0.25to 0.45 m². In comparison, other vests only offer a covered area of 0.1 – 0.2 m². Furthermore, the wearing comfort is significantly increased by the high flexibility of the stab-proof material. This means that the vest can be worn permanently without any restrictions – regardless of whether you are seated or highly active.

DESCRIPTION 

The outer fabric of the vest is very durable. This makes it particularly suited for law enforcement and also ideal for outdoor use.

The technology used to make our stab protection vests and other stab-proof garments is innovative and unique throughout the world. After many years of intensive research, we have succeeded in manufacturing a textile composite that is safe, light and flexible at the same time. Our tactical stab-proof vest weigh only approx. 1.5 kg, (level 1) for example. The protective layer is made of a high-strength aramid fabric to which a special plastic is inseparably applied. The combination of high strength fibres and the energy absorbing plastic create a material of which its specific properties even exceed those of stainless steel plates. 

The weight is approx. 4.5 times lower than that of a comparably thick stainless steel plate. We have taken the armadillo as a model to ensure flexibility and breath-ability. Just like this armoured mammal, we make use of an overlapping scaly structure. However, our scaly structure differs from that of other suppliers in that it is not possible to push it apart. This allows us to achieve a high degree of safety in combination with maximum flexibility.

Level 3 protection is not recommended for general security related duties. Please choose carefully as we do not exchange if you choose the incorrect protection panels. Exchange panels can be supplied at extra cost, please contact us for pricing.

Our stab proof clothing is not ballistic rated and is stab proof only. We do not sell bullet proof vest.
